Freezing air that fires the lungs. Bundles of cumbersome clothing. Wet boots and cold toes. Slips on ice and slipped discs and broken bones. All the woes of winter seem to be fading as the weather warms.
Now, dripping noses and watery eyes have replaced frozen breath. Scratchy throats and sneezing accompany blooming Easter lillies. Sinus headaches and stuffiness vie against walks in the park with the dogs.
Blooming, bursting life everywhere, greens and yellows, and a cacaphony of mating birds singing to the high heavens...
